08 Aug 2022 --- BASF has secured renewable energy agreements to help power more than 20 of its US manufacturing sites. The German multinational chemical company, which produces adhesives, resin and formulation additives and water-based inks for the packaging industry, has signed new Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPA) totaling 250 megawatts (MW). The energy supply will be offset with solar and wind power, and the share of renewable energy will rise to more than 25% of BASF’s total electricity consumption in North America.
