30 Mar 2023 --- A group of researchers from Spanish technology centers, universities, cheese manufacturers and plastic businesses have collaborated to create packaging made from whey – a natural by-product of cheese production, which has antifungal and natural properties that can extend the shelf life of cheese by up to ten days. The research, named the Go Orleans project, was led by the Agri-Food Business Federation of the Valencian Community (FEDACOVA), Aimplas, the Plastics Technology Centre, the Universitat de València, ADM Biopolis, and cheesemakers Dehesa Dos Hermanas and La Cabezuela.
