16 Sep 2022 --- Peli BioThermal is releasing a reusable, flexible temperature-controlled shipping solution called Crēdo Go. This solution is designed to assist pharmaceutical businesses in achieving their cost-reduction objectives, operational performance indicators, environmental, social and governance goals. It is also meant to adapt to specific customer programs.
Phil Gyori, CEO of Pelican Products – the parent company of Peli BioThermal – elucidates that “the number of commercially approved pharmaceutical products that require strict temperature control is growing rapidly. We understand that discovery, clinical trials and commercialization require different solutions.”
The most recent shipping solution from Peli BioThermal is said to combine data-driven optimization with customer engagement to offer a range of shipper alternatives that are tailored to specific programs according to business needs.
To accommodate common and complex shipping route profiles, each shipper is given access to 2-, 4-, or 6-TIC setups that allow them to adjust thermal duration and switch between open and tight temperature control.
With significantly shorter lead times for new shipper configurations, the new box building automation technology is touted to offer greater throughput and capacity potential, while a “simple and accurate” pack-out process shortens packing time: boosting daily throughput and minimizing assembly error.
“Crēdo Go brings together Peli BioThermal’s long-trusted technology and modern design innovation to improve payload protection, increase component longevity and minimize a program’s carbon footprint,” Gyori says.
The potential carbon reductions are attributed to the solution’s ability to lessen the effects of thermal bridging without reducing cargo capacity. Notwithstanding the ability to keep chargeable shipper weight stable, TIC BridgeGuard technology is said to distribute the phase change material coolant to the most critical areas.

Utilizing customer-specific data points to enter into Peli BioThermal’s Trufit optimization software, Crēdo Go consumers begin their product journey by engaging with a dedicated product consultant to find potential for improvement and cost savings.
This analytic tool makes use of client data to create a solution portfolio that is ideal for each program’s demands, objectives and performance measures. Crēdo ProEnvision software offers order, shipment and maintenance assistance to assess and continuously enhance program performance after a program is up and running.
Crēdo Go shippers are said to be able to hold payloads ranging in volume from 2.5 liters to 83 liters at temperatures between frozen and controlled room temperature. Shipping times range from 24 to over 120 hours, according to the company.
Temperature tricks
Another development in temperature-controlled packaging innovations recently saw an insulator material inspired by squid skin, designed by engineers at the University of Irvine, US.
The design could, in the future, keep beverages hot and protect other products by regulating heat through reconfigurable metal structures that can reversibly separate from one another and come back together under different strain levels.
