10 Feb 2022 --- Texen Beauty Partners, a luxury and beauty packaging company, is launching a variety of bio-based, multi-purpose and customizable palettes with matching suede pouches. The products enable reusability as part of the circular economy, ensuring that the palettes can be used for a long period of time while maintaining quality.
“We develop a large range of refillable products, such as refillable eyeliner, click pen, lipstick and compacts. This new range will also be made with recycled materials,” Charlotte Oueini-Gentet, key account manager at Texen, tells PersonalCareInsights.
The collection includes three kinds of palettes that are available in standard sizes. Its design makes it refillable by using magnetic pans in which product formulas can be removed and restored. The palette is designed for pressed powders, such as eye shadows, blush, bronzer and foundation.
The pans can be pulled out by inserting a thin rod into the perforation behind the palette.
Mix and match palettes
The palettes are designed to be highly customizable for consumers in-store and online. After buying empty palettes, consumers can fill them up based on preferences like colors or pressed powders. The mirror inside is also customizable.
Additionally, the palette is compatible with different kinds of printing for design covers such as silk-screen printing, hot stamping and digital printing.Texen offers a collection of recycled and recyclable applicators and accessories for skincare and makeup products.
“The price depends on which option the customer chooses. Which type of colors they want for their decoration, if they need a mirror and other [customized] options,” comments Oueini-Gentet.
“A lot of our customers request to receive refillable palettes or compacts,” she adds.
Texen suggests that brands can use the customizable and refillable features in various ways, such as selling the palette in a box with several powder refills.
Upcycled sugarcane PET
Texen provides an option for the collection to be made either with virgin plastic or recycled materials, with a preference for organic PET (polyethylene terephthalate) from sugarcane waste.
Texan explains that organic PET is made of 20% recycled waste and 80% PET virgin plastic, decreasing fossil fuel use.
The company’s use of organic PET is said to overcome the technical constraints of phase transformation. Specifically, it allows the rendering of delicate colors, white, for instance, compared to recycled PET (rPET).
The bonus collection of suede pouches is made with rPET available in all colors and various materials such as velvet, cotton weave and flannel. Hot stamping can be used as additional decoration.
The suede pouches have been designed to add value to makeup collections. The products will add to Texen’s Be Green collection, following the principles: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Texen recently acquired PRP Creation’s flexible packaging business for pouches and doypacks.
