ECOS: NGOs urge EU to prioritize plastic in Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation

NGOs have released an open letter calling on Jessika Roswall, the European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy to include plastic and polymers in the EC’s first working plan for the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. Emily Best, program manager at the Environmental Coalition on Standards (ECOS), one of the letter signatories, tells us more about the NGOs demands and their importance for packaging.
